About the book
A Sweet Floral Life
Learn to create exquisite, lifelike sugar flowers to pair with fresh blooms in the floral arrangements of your dreams—no matter the season or availability.
Natasja Sadi, an Instagram sensation, brings a sumptuous, old-world charm to her floral arrangements, reminiscent of classical paintings. The secret? Handmade sugar flowers, traditionally used in cake decorating, which are indistinguishable from real ones and last forever. Formerly a fashion designer, Sadi began making sugar flowers to honor her African and Indonesian ancestors who worked in the sugarcane fields of Suriname. In A Sweet Floral Life, Sadi provides detailed steps for sculpting sugar flowers—a versatile medium with limitless possibilities.
Whether it's the height of summer or the depths of winter, sugar flowers are always in perfect bloom.
Sadi also guides you through the creative process of fresh flower arranging, helping you develop a personal style. The book includes tutorials for seasonal arrangements, tips for living and entertaining with flowers, and advice on photographing floral compositions. A Sweet Floral Life invites you to capture romance, set the mood, and be inspired by the timeless beauty of floral art.
